Underwater
A Poem
In the calm of underwater,
the muffled sounds,
the gentle cool,
hair charmed like snake,
dancing in the blue.
Kingdom of Silence,
a place of peace,
Under the Water,
that is where I will be.
Memories of summer time,
rough housing in the pool,
games of minnows and shark,
racing with friends from school.
But the most bliss,
the favorite of all time,
sitting on the pool floor,
deep in the grasp of the blue.
I wonder what the fish think,
when they see us aliens,
for in water life breathes,
we are the anomalies.
Under the water lie wonders,
Creatures of deep,
Colorful reefs.
Fishes with spikes,
and some so bright,
the make a child squeal.
Imagine the delight,
of the wet of forests,
bright in colors,
filled with life,
every size, shade, and shape,
Nature’s van Gogh.
Under the water,
I wish to be in that calm,
the deep blue hugging,
a blanked of gentle cool,
in Silence’s Kingdom,
I want to be.
Those summer days,
the chaos of the surface,
the bliss of Underwater.
