Pains of a Flying Ape

There is an anguish,

when one reflects on the past,

sees their wrong,

and then revisits where the wrong took place.

A pain,

when a familiar face turns away,

as if one was a mere gust.

This pain is amplified,

when that event is nothing,

but imagination,

or anticipation.

Sad relief,

imagination remains fiction.

Such pains,

suffered by a flying ape.
